At the Royal Dental Practice in West Hills Los Angeles, California, we appreciate that dental visits can be stressful for even the healthiest patients; however, they can be downright impossible for seniors or homebound individuals.
Dr. Roya Shoffet and our caring team come to the rescue by bringing quality treatment to patients’ bedsides or their favorite comfy chairs. We are proud to be among the rare dental providers to offer mobile dentistry or in-home dental care.
Busy caregivers and patients alike are thankful that they do not have to uproot their lives or fit yet another appointment into their busy schedules. As with each appointment, there are additional hassles associated with transporting patients with mobility challenges and health issues. The process is not as straightforward as getting in a car and driving to our office when mobility issues challenge patients.
We eliminate all the hassles and special considerations associated with maintaining dental check-ups within the confines of the traditional dental office experience. Dr. Shoffet brings her considerable expertise and portable equipment to your home, where you are most comfortable. For instance, she and her on-the-go team use mobile x-ray machines to collect accurate information about your mouth. This then informs our recommended, proactive treatment approaches. Other routine preventive services available at your bedside include professional cleanings, oral cancer screenings, and deep cleanings to resolve gum disease among patients with gingival inflammation.
We can also discuss how to maintain the convenience and ease of other services, such as restorative treatments, on a case-by-case basis. If it is best to perform a restorative or surgical procedure at our office, we’ve made it easy to get necessary care fast by handling all transportation. We can transfer you to our well-appointed office location via gurney or arrange for medical transport as needed.
Moreover, Dr. Shoffet has developed a strong and trusted reputation as a provider of expert dental care for seniors. She knows the unique challenges we face as we get older, keeping our mouths healthy and our smiles looking their best. She also has significant experience with gently and effectively treating patients with conditions such as Alzheimer’s and dementia.
The health of our teeth, gums, and mouths is vital to keeping us looking and feeling young and healthy. In fact, conditions such as gum disease have been linked as risk factors for Alzheimer’s and cognitive decline. We are proud to partner with our patients to ensure they keep up with the dental care essential to their overall health and well-being.
